Midis Group present in Tunisia through Southcomp Distribution Tunisia

The global software and IT equipment distribution giant, Midis Group, is now present in Tunisia, represented by its subsidiary Southcomp Distribution Tunisia. The ceremony was honored with the presence of Slim Feriani, Minister of Industry and SMEs, Olivier Poivre-d'Arvor, Ambassador of France, José Frederico Ludovice, Ambassador of Portugal, Emily Kakala Ngoussi, Ambassador of the Gabonese Republic in Tunisia, Mory Diabagate, representative of the Embassy of Mali in Tunisia and Kamel Ben Yaghlane, Honorary Consul General of Ghana in Tunisia.

The event also saw the participation of over 150 technology companies and prominent global IT vendors and publishers.

The objective of this event is to highlight the commitment and investment of the Midis group on the continent, as indicated by Jacques Tachdjian, Midis Group representative for Africa. At the same time, he stressed that this investment is part of the group's growth strategy aimed at "strengthening our presence on the Tunisian market".

For his part, the Minister of Industry and SMEs indicated that the establishment of Midis Group, through Southcomp Distribution Tunisia, represents an opportunity for Tunisia that wishes to position itself as a technological hub for Africa. He added: "With the tens of thousands of engineers graduating each year, we are the right place for [Midis Group] to settle."

After its establishment in Morocco, Algeria and Ivory Coast, the Midis Group continues to increase its investment in Tunisia through its subsidiary "Southcomp Distribution Tunisia". It specializes in the distribution of software and equipment for network and storage, IT as well as unified communication and security. "Southcomp Distribution Tunisia" supports its partners in distribution, through software solutions and professional services as well as systems integration. It is well invested in the African continent and helps its local partners to settle and develop their activities in Africa.

Anis Abdesslam, Managing Director of Southcomp Distribution Tunisia, for his part, stressed on the importance of this investment which "represents a pledge of confidence for our country". According to Abdesslam, the arrival of Midis Group on the local market will create an “international synergy”, thanks to which the company will be able to respond more effectively to the needs of its Tunisian partners by supporting them in their developments both on the national and international market. Southcomp Distribution Tunisia will therefore be the ideal partner for the supply of the most comprehensive and complex solutions in a context of continuous technological development and digitalization.
